Ubisoft has closed a whole bunch of new games: from Splinter Cell to Ghost Recon

More recently, it seemed that Ubisoft, simply out of harm, did not close projects, even when they could not be born. What’s up with Skull & Bones ? Confidently on its way to release. A remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ? Sent to be developed in another studio. Long-suffering Beyond Good & Evil 2 ? Connected to an artificial respiration apparatus.

However, things are changing, and a publisher’s patience can crack. With one stroke of the pen, Ubisoft shut down four games in development at once:

  • Ghost Recon Frontline is a battle royale that passed the test last year. Feedback forced the authors to reconsider their plans and … And now this same “I” has happened.

  • Splinter Cell VR – spy adventure with a view from the eyes. Most likely, the authors’ eyes just leaked out.

  • Two more games that didn’t even have time to properly announce. Was there really a new part of Assassin’s Creed?

Whether or not the publisher will benefit from such a powerful gesture, future releases will show.
