It is a concise and straightforward mission that offers an opportunity to earn additional credits. However, it comes with significant risks since you are engaging in smuggling activities between planets with high levels of security, and getting caught can lead to serious consequences.
How to unlock the Akila Run mission
To unlock the Akila Run, head over to the HopeTech building on Hopetown and speak with Mr. Sood who’ll be standing beside two children.
How to complete The Akila Run in Starfield
Once you’ve had a conversation with Mr. Sood, return to your ship and set course for Akila City. It’s highly advisable to enhance your ship’s capabilities with shielded cargo and a scan jammer to improve your chances of entering Akila City without detection.
To upgrade your ship, speak with Lon Anderson, located in the Red Mile on the planet Porrima III. If you prefer not to spend credits on ship upgrades, it’s recommended to save your game before attempting to enter Akila City, as there’s a small risk of getting caught. If that unfortunate event occurs, simply reload your saved game and try again.

Next, proceed to your ship’s cargo area and transfer Mr. Sood’s contraband aboard. You have the option to add more of Sood’s contraband to your cargo, which will result in higher payment. However, keep in mind that doing so increases the likelihood of being apprehended by Akila authorities.
Travel to Akila
With all your preparations in place, make your way to Akila and complete the delivery of the contraband to Tom Starrett. You’ll find him located outside the Trade Authority building.
