The “Guilty Parties” faction mission requires you to find the mole inside Ryujin Industries that has been leaking info in Starfield.
“Guilty Parties” stands as a faction quest within the Ryujin Industries storyline in Starfield. This quest entails the task of uncovering the mole responsible for leaking crucial industry information to rival entities.
Faction quests are self-contained narrative adventures within the Starfield universe, separate from the main campaign. Engaging in these faction missions immerses players in fresh storylines and grants them access to a plethora of enticing rewards.
How to unlock the “Guilty Parties” mission
To gain access to the “Guilty Parties” quest in Starfield, all that’s required is the completion of the “Background Checks” mission. These two missions are integral components of the faction questline associated with Ryujin Industries, wherein you assume the role of one of their employees.
Upon successfully finishing the “Background Checks” mission, your HUD will display a prompt instructing you to converse with Imogene at the Ryujin Tower’s operation center, situated on the Neon planet.
How to complete “Guilty Parties” in Starfield
When you reach Imogene’s office, she won’t be found there but instead, Yuko will be present telling you about the Seokghu Syndicate Hideout which was the last known location of Imogene. She will even recommend running things with Dalton before you head out.
Speak with Dalton (optional)
Proceed to the executive floor and have a conversation with Dalton to gather additional details regarding the Seokghu Syndicate Hideout. He’ll also recommend reaching out to Benjamin Bayu to assist you in your quest to locate Imogene.
Speak with Benjamin Bayu (optional)
Exit the Ryujin Tower and make your way to the Astral Lounge bar, situated on the opposite side of the Neon planet. Upon reaching the bar, ride the elevator up to the VIP balcony and approach the booth where Bayu can be found.
Engage in a conversation with Benjamin Bayu to glean insights into the Seokghu Syndicate, aiding your quest to locate Imogene in the “Guilty Parties” faction mission in Starfield.
Before he divulges any information about the Syndicate, Bayu will present you with a task. However, you have the option to circumvent this task by choosing to persuade him. Persuading him shouldn’t prove too challenging, as it simply entails filling up four persuasion bars.
Visit Frankie’s Grab & Go (optional)
According to Yuko, the most recent place Imogene was seen was Frankie’s Grab & Go. To reach Frankie’s Grab & Go, exit the Astral Lounge and proceed straight ahead until you encounter the entrance to Ebbside on your left. Enter through this entrance and keep an eye out for a neon sign bearing the name “Frankie’s Grab & Go.”
Once you step inside Frankie’s Grab & Go, you’ll be greeted by Frankie Moore, who will be standing near the bar and will inquire about your purpose. Ask him about the Seokghu Syndicate Hideout, but be prepared for Frankie to decline sharing any information with you.
Find a way into the Seokghu Syndicate Hideout
Frankie has firmly denied sharing any details about the Syndicate Hideout nestled within the cozy confines of the diner. However, there are several avenues through which you can gain entry to the hideout at Frankie’s Grab & Go.
Your initial option is to secure the key card by skillfully pickpocketing Frankie. Approach her stealthily while she’s looking in the opposite direction, then discreetly extract the key card from her possessions.
If this approach proves unsuccessful, make your way to the rooftop of the diner where you’ll discover a locked door leading to the hideout. A quest marker will guide you toward accessing this hideout from there.
Confront Imogene in the Hideout
Once you’ve entered the hideout follow the quest marker that will lead towards Imogene. There will be a few enemies roaming nearby, it is up to you if you want to sneak past them or directly kill them to get to Imogene.
Should you kill or spare Imogene?
Engage in a conversation with Imogene and make your decision regarding her fate. You’ll have the option to either hear her perspective, where she’ll present you with a slate containing all the evidence substantiating her innocence, or opt for a more drastic approach and end her life.
However, it’s crucial to note that taking her life is unnecessary, as she is not the actual mole. Spare her and proceed to the Executive Floor of the Ryujin Tower in Starfield to meet with Ularu. Ularu holds the answers to uncovering the true betrayer of the Ryujin Industry.
Confront Ularu (optional)
Once you’ve concluded your discussion with Imogene, proceed to Ularu’s office on the Executive Floor of the Ryujin Tower. Confront her, employing your persuasive abilities to compel her to confess her role as the true mole within Ryujin Industries.
Following her admission, you will face a pivotal decision: either align yourself with Ularu or take more drastic action by eliminating her, thereby demonstrating your unwavering loyalty to Masako, the CEO of Ryujin.
Should you kill Ularu or side with Masako?
Opting to align with Masako offers you the chance to submit the evidence from Imogene, which substantiates her innocence. Upon doing so, you’ll receive a prompt to confront Ularu in her office.
However, if you choose to attack Ularu, it will displease the security team and Dalton, though the subsequent faction quest will proceed unchanged.
It’s important to note that if you side with Ularu, the blame for being the mole will continue to rest on Imogene, leading to her unfortunate demise despite her innocence.
When you subsequently engage with Dalton to wrap up the Guilty Parties faction quest in Starfield, the dialogue will significantly differ from the scenario in which you side with Masako and confront Ularu.
Return to Dalton
Once you’ve dealt with Imogene make your way to Dalton at the Executive Floor in Ryujin Towers to report on the investigation about Imogene.
A new faction quest will start known as the Key Ingredient. This will mark the Guilty Parties complete.
