Ragnarok is not The Name of the Next Assassin’s Creed Game
The amount of leaks over the last few days regarding the next Assassin’s Creed game has swept fans off their feet. Nonetheless, a prominent analyst says it will not be called Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok. He still confirms some of the leaks are near reality.
The latest leaks over the next Assassin’s Creed game claim the game houses the franchise’s biggest map ever seen. This is not only distributed through multiple cities but also includes most of Northern Europe. Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, or whatever it may be called, will have even more RPG elements, starting with the durability of the weapons and the profound development of characters. The leaks about the word, as it seems, fell through.
Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad, Niko Partners senior analyst confirmed that some of the leaks released are relatively close to what the game really is. Though the whole thing doesn’t come close to what the game really is. Commenting on a Thread related to ResetEra, he said:
For what it’s worth. All of the new AC leaks so far have been incorrect. It’s not even called Ragnarok.
Sure. Some of the details are right. Like improved combat or whatever. But in general they’re not that accurate.
Once Ubisoft is ready to make the official announcement and get us out of our “misery,” it all comes down to During the previous fiscal quarter the company experienced a decline in its revenue. As a result the release dates have been pushed back for Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods, and Monsters. We don’t know if that will also affect “Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok,” although it seems highly improbable.
If the next AC game is set in the reign of the Viking era, then it is guaranteed to succeed. Gamers do like that spin in human history and if Ubisoft manages to tie it to an intriguing story and deep RPG elements, the company’s current poor sales may be a turnaround.
For what it’s worth, the video game industry is a highly unstable time right now. Despite the release late this year of next-gen consoles, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, we will expect developers not to launch further games until console releases settle down.
