New Batman Arkham Game Could Announce Early, Insider says
Industry insider KC Walsh has said on Twitter that Warner Bros Montreal would soon announce the new Batman Arkham game being speculated at over the last few weeks. It may also be announced under a name other than the previously reported Batman: Arkham Legacy, though what is not known exactly.
For the past several months it has been somewhat common knowledge that a new Batman game could come from WB Montreal, possibly related to the villainous secret society known as the Court of Owls, which Batman has tangled with several times.
This has been given credibility by numerous hints and signals posted on social media at the WB Montreal, particularly the possibility of an announcement coming. Nevertheless, we don’t know what the new Batman Arkham game itself will all contain.
The last game of Batman Arkham required players to take control of several different Bat-family members including Batman himself, Batman, Robin, and Nightwing. Nonetheless, it’s yet to be seen whether this new game would require a similar number of characters.
KC Walsh also said the new Batman game would probably not come to the current-gen consoles, particularly as the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5 are expected to be released at the end of this year. A later version of the PC will likely follow.
While there’s no indication exactly when the new Batman Arkham game will be announced, Warner Bros Montreal has released a lot of teasers and so the time for them to just come out and say it might be almost ripe. The different pieces shown in separate tweets could even combine to form a single emblem, and once the final one has been revealed, we might get a complete logo.
Nevertheless the game will be revealed, hopefully it will be a return to form for the Batman series, particularly after Arkham Knight’s very divisive reception.
