Star Vault

  • You can now equip the shield with spears.
  • Added a new chat command /report to open the bug report window directly. The game menu button remains the same.

Engine changes


  • Unreal Engine has been updated to version 4.27. The game now uses Oodle compression to reduce the size of the game and thus improve disk loading time. This means that the full game is now only 60% of its previous size.
  • Updated DLSS version to version 2.3.5.
  • Enabled an optimization setting in the engine to speed up the loading of some resources.




  • Activated treasures again share their experience with healers.
  • Renamed some trinket effects:
  • The Trinket Luck skill is now called Trinket Effect Luck.
  • Trinket Luck is now Gem Effect Luck.
  • Rare trinket luck is now called rare trinket luck.
  • Outdated trinkets will now check for an updated version when reloading. This means the trinket will increase its base and gem level to match the current trinket balance.
  • You can now cancel a spell while charging by using the Walk/Feint/Spell Interrupt key combination.
  • The /loot chat command now checks a large area below you for loot bags.
  • Indomitable or out of control AI will no longer drop the player’s criminal debuff.
  • Added the ability to make a pet immune to AI, which means pets will not attack AI.
  • The following bosses are now immune to pets:
  • Robes of the Maiden Queen
  • Minotaur King
  • Nitro Queen
  • Sator Vessel
  • Removed some priests near dungeons.
  • If many spiritists attack the same spirit, only one will receive the reward.
  • Bosses now drop better when they no longer have a target.
  • Bosses now reset even if there are dead players near them.
  • Added improved tethered and stuck checks for AI.

  • You can now intentionally interrupt spells with the Walk/Fint/Interrupt keyboard shortcut.
  • Mana, cast time, range, and damage have been adjusted for Thunderlash and Flamestrike.

The quality of life



  • You can now left-click on a spell in the spellbook UI to lock the spell and its spell page, making it easier to see statistics and what reagents are needed to cast it.
  • Added spell tooltips to the action bar.
  • Pet products category added to the broker
  • Now you can put the trinkets in the bags.
  • You can now close the “remove items” UI by pressing the esc key.

User interface changes



  • Improved the bug report window with categories and some other changes. This will help us classify incoming reports in the backend.
  • Updated map interface.
  • Potion squads are now displayed in the potion tooltip.
  • Update engraver tool descriptions.
  • Updated all spell descriptions.
  • The house password field is now reset when you interact with the building.

Changes in magic reflect



  • Fixed an issue where casting an ecumenical reflection spell on yourself would not update an existing buff and instead cancel it.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented you from being flagged as a criminal when casting a spell that reflects back.
  • You can no longer use Ecumenical Reflection to avoid death in Mercy Mode.
  • Ecumenical reflection spell can now be used to protect against AI spells.
  • The ecumenical reflection spell can now be cast on AI (including pets) and will reflect spells.
  • Some bosses will be too strong for reflection to work against them.
  • You will now see and hear the effect when the spell successfully reflects on the target (the shield visually dissipates).
  • Some spells will no longer be affected by the ecumenical reflective shield, such as healing spells. If this happens, the shield will remain intact.
  • Fixed an animation issue where casting a spell on a target that reflects your spell back to you would cause you to play your own casting animation.
  • Fixed an issue where a reflected spell would sometimes spawn particles in both locations.

Swimming changes



  • Fixed an issue that caused you to stop swimming and be able to run on the bottom of the sea or lake.
  • Fixed an issue where dismounting a horse in water or killing a horse while riding would cause you to instantly fall to the bottom and take damage. Sometimes you can run.
  • Fixed an issue where dismounting and re-mounting a horse while swimming would result in it being almost unable to move.

Movement changes



  • Fixed an issue where AI that was unable to find land would receive the wrong position update and briefly move to a different position than intended.
  • Improved AI acceleration and deceleration to make movements less sudden, especially in combat.
  • Fixed an issue where the first person body would sometimes flip/reset animation direction on start and stop.
  • Fixed an issue that caused undead to intermittently freeze and freeze due to incorrect angular velocity calculations in animation updates.

Changes in mounts and autosteering



  • Mount collision now closes the player. This means that you will no longer be able to ride in places where the player does not fit on horseback. This will fix some issues, but will instead cause a specific issue with mounts being moved into low doorways in the player’s dwelling until we resolve interior navigation for pets.
  • You can no longer mount a horse if there is not enough space above it.
  • Mounts are no longer automatically controlled while swimming.
  • Fixed several issues and improved the turn animation when swimming on a mount.
  • Mounts no longer slow down and try to avoid steep slopes and stairs that are still walkable.
  • Auto mount control now adjusts based on speed and gets stronger at higher speeds.
  • Player input now takes full control of the mount. Rejecting input leaves control back to the mount.
  • Mount auto steering while avoiding obstacles is now limited to the same traverse rate as when the player is steering. Previously, mounts could turn faster on their own than when the player turned.
  • Fixed an issue where auto mount control would sometimes turn into an obstacle instead of away from it.
  • Mounts should no longer completely break (actually get stuck) when they are too close to objects they are trying to dodge.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the mount’s neck to twist left and right a lot when hitting obstacles.
  • Both the mount and the player will now take damage from drowning or environmental damage such as lava (previously only the player took damage).
  • Mounts now regenerate stamina faster.




  • Improved the stability of first-person procedural weapon animations in combat at low framerates. A sudden drop in frame rate could result in excessive movement of the character’s arms.
