Microsoft: "Sony hasn't resigned itself to having to compete with Game Pass"

The company responded to statements by Sony (it is the only one who reacts negatively to the deal) regarding the dissatisfaction with the deal between Xbox and Activision Blizzard:

“Sony’s public outrage over subscription games and the company’s response clearly make it clear that Sony does not want attractive subscription services to threaten its dominance in the console gaming market. In other words, Sony opposes the introduction of new monetization models that could challenge its business model.”

Microsoft goes on to highlight why the deal is completely legal in all aspects:

– PlayStation has its own exclusives that Xbox
doesn’t – The point of the strategy is not to limit content on other platforms
– PlayStation has its own PS Plus subscription
– Subscription service for players is another way to play, not a direct leverage on competitors
