In Starfield, you have the ability to construct outposts, tailoring them to serve various functions, including creating a personal residence and harvesting resources. The customization options are diverse, allowing you to design your bases in accordance with your preferences and requirements. These outposts are completely modular, with each module offering distinct functionalities.
Within Starfield, you’ll have several choices at your disposal, enabling you to generate resources from your outposts. This guide will walk you through the process of achieving this.
Customizing Outposts in Starfield Explained
When it comes to personalizing your outpost in Starfield, the initial step is to carefully choose the ideal location for setting up a beacon. Once this is settled, you can proceed with the construction and adjustment of various available modules. Noteworthy structures that can be fashioned using the Build Mode include:
- Outpost Airlock: This is your main entry area or room with doors that lead to different Hab Units.
- Extractors: Potentially, these tools drill out resources from within the ground.
- Hab Units: In the case of producing a base, you can make square, round, or hexagonal-shaped habs that can be further customized as you desire.
- Hydroponics Hab: This is your garden to farm crops, food, herbs, etc.
- Science Hab: This is your research station for discovering new technologies and techniques.
- Military Hab: A place where you may keep your weapons and train.
After creating different structures and modules using the Build Mode, you can switch to the Modify Mode. This mode is used to move or delete modules, restoring all resources you lost while building.
How to Delete Outposts
If you intend to relocate your base setup to another planet in Starfield, the process is straightforward. When you inspect your Outpost beacon, you’ll encounter two options: Build and Rename. Within the Rename option, you’ll also find the Remove Outpost choice.
