Fortnite live event: All Details Here
FORTNITE fans are gearing up for the start of chapter 2 season 2 – but will there be a live event today before the new Battle Pass launch?
Chapter 2 of fortnight 2 of season 2 looks set to start shortly and there’s usually a huge in-game live event ahead of a new Battle Pass. Features a meteor strike and a robot vs. monster war live events that took place before a new Battle Pass. Generally in preparation for a fortnite live event, Epic Games drops a lot of teases and clues.
However, when we come to the end of chapter 2 of season 1, there were no murmurings of this kind.
Is that therefore a violation of tradition in Epic Games and not a case for fortnites as the current Battle Pass concludes?
Unfortunately, it looks like this will be the case at the time of publishing.
It’d probably take place this weekend if there was a live event for Fortnite.
Fortnight live events usually take place on Saturday at 7 pm UK time just before the war pass is over.
Nevertheless, there were no clues or suggestions for a live event for Fortnite from Epic Games.
And this weekend it seems even more unlikely, given the Fortnite Celebration Cup.
Epic Games would be shocked to disrupt the opening PS4 competition, where cash prizes are given for a live event.
And, if it seems there will be no live event in Fortnite history to close off the longest season.
The only other alternative is that Epic Games might hold a Fortnite live event in the days leading up to the Fortnite chapter 2 season 2 launch.
On Thursday 20 February the next Fortnite season is scheduled for launch.
Epic Games could therefore potentially plan to schedule a live event in the days before the next Battle Pass is released.
For the great live event that led to the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, the Fortnite developers varied their schedule.
The notorious Fortnite Black Hole Live event was held on Sunday rather than on Saturday.
After that the game ended for about a day and a half before chapter 2 began, servers were taken offline.
Epic Games could do another similar thing until Fortnite chapter 2 was released in the second season.
And the new Battle Pass on Thursday could mean that a live event will take place in the days leading to it.
Nonetheless, this seems doubtful, as a rare exception to Epic’s big live events is the Fortnite Black Hole case.
Never say never, though, and Fortnite likes to concentrate and keep on shocking fans.
And you never know, before the start of the 2 season, chapter 2, Epic Games might still pull out a Fortnite live event.
Here is what Epic Games has said so far about the next season of Fortnite…
“Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system.
“At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite. Along the way there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players.
“We’ll also closely monitor feedback and make improvements over time.
“With the addition of the 11.50 update, Chapter 2 – Season 2 is now expected to launch Thursday, February 20.
