Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 CRISIS

FORTNITE fanbase appears to be dwindling, as the longest season in the game’s history comes to an end.

• Fortnite has gone from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in the space of a single season.
• Fortnite Twitch numbers are among the lowest since the Battle Pass was introduced back in 2017.
• Epic Games can’t afford to delay the start of Chapter 2, Season 2 any longer.

Some fans probably believe that Chapter 2, Stage 1 of Fortnite feels like it’s going on forever.

The seasonal Black Hole event back in early October was a big buzz from Fortnite maker Epic Games, but in the months ahead it was not taken advantage of.

There has been a shortage of major content updates and a lack of communication, because the hype for the Battle Royale trend has sunk.

The Fortnite Twitch numbers are proof of this, which do not give Epic Games a pretty picture.

Twitch Tracker reveals that average views and maximum views are down for Fortnite, evidence that Chapter 2, Season 2 can not arrive early enough.

In December 2019, average views dropped to about 20k, compared with 58k in October and 32k in September.

In December average views fell to only 21k, compared to 171k in October and 66k in September.

Despite Ninja’s defection to a Mixer, Fortnite Twitch numbers were likely to fall back in August.

Usually, ratings would increase around the beginning of a new season, so it will be interesting to check if Epic is able to profit from the boost.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 for PS4, Xbox One, Mac, iOS, Android and nintendo switch is scheduled for release on February 20.

Epic has not published any teasers, despite the fact that Season 2 is very similar to Chapter 2.

Fans do expect a big end of the season on February 15. Fans are predicted.

And Epic may also have left a hint to the final season in the 11.50 game file update.

In the 11.50 patch, Dataminers find a AgentMeowsicles file and something very interesting.

AgentMeowsicles is a strange 90-second clip of a cat that reverberates with smooth jazz.

The FortTory leaker discovered that the sound is repeatedly showing pictures of a cat and a fish via a loop.

FortTory tweeted: “The sounds I put in a spectogram, when you put them strange, show this: Cat+Fish+Cat+Fish etc. What’s this about (sic)?

Fans have been left wondering if this is a subtle clue from Epic Games about an upcoming Fortnite live event or if they’re just trolling gamers.
