Call of Duty Modern Warfare update: COD patch news for Xbox and PS4 download 2019

NEW Call of Duty Modern Warfare update news was confirmed this week by Infinity Ward developers ahead of upcoming PS4 and Xbox One COD downloads. COD patch

Developers Infinity Ward posted big news about what’s to come next in the latest updates of Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers may have noticed that the last couple of weeks have seen smaller patches. And the development team has seen this week clarify what’s scheduled for 2020 next.

One thing COD fans have pointed out is there should be at least a few updates to report on every Tuesday going forward.

In a new Community Blog shared with Call of Duty fans, Infinity Ward announced that on Tuesdays they would continue to introduce Playlist updates.

So even if there are no big bug fixes included, you should see some sort of refresh every Tuesday when it comes to content.

And it appears the rest of the week will also include news including a Wednesday developer diary and/or behind – the-scenes blog, and a Friday Community Update blog.

“And of course, you’ll see patch notes posted on our website, Trello board, and on social media whenever we do a patch or title change,” adds Infinity Ward.

“Just bear in mind that things are always subject to change, so we’ll do our best to keep you updated every week.” For now, we don’t know if the COD release on Tuesday, January 14, will include anything more than a tweak to the playlist. But we do know what is being achieved, like new bugfixes and improvements to the gameplay balance.

Here’s a list of changes that have yet to be released for Modern Warfare: Gunfight 3v3: Apart from the Gunfight 1v1 playlist we rolled out this week, we’re working on another Gunfight version, 3v3!

Additional loadouts: 5 loadouts are not enough so in the coming weeks we will be adding more loadout slots!

Gunfight Tournament: It was amazing to see so many people jumping back in November into the Beta Gunfight Tournament and we’re planning to bring back tournaments once we’ve squashed a few bugs and added new rewards.

More 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier events

Known concerns:

  • Lighting flickering on various maps
  • Mission collision on containers on Cargo
  • Platinum skins not unlocking properly
  • Out of map exploits in Ground War
  • Platinum and Damascus camos glare while ADS

Infinity Ward has also announced improvements to how they address bugfixes and let players know what’s coming next to the game, telling fans: “You’re all great to keep us up-to-date with features you’d like to see, modes you want to play, bugs you find, and suggestions on the whole.

“With that, we want to keep you as up-to-date as possible, so starting today, we’re going to use this nifty Trello board to show you the problems we’re monitoring, provide help and even give a sneak peek at things that’s coming up.

“It’s not all we’re working on, but it’s an awesome way to see what’s on our radar and some of the community issues we’ve noticed.” If new changes are being made to Call of Duty Modern Warfare today, January 14, we should expect a list of patch notes to be posted sometime after the release.

We’d expect any new COD patches to go live after 6 pm, GMT, with patch notes to check out for PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers.
