The second Overwatch 2 beta has come to an end. The players are quite satisfied, and Blizzard has collected the necessary feedback. The studio is planning another test before the release of the game in early access – perhaps they will introduce a new heroine.
Overwatch 2 will enter Early Access on October 4, 2022. Blizzard recently completed the game’s second beta and thanked the community for their support. The developer assures that he will continue to balance the characters based on the suggestions of the players.
Third beta confirmed
The studio also has plans for new features and content that it intends to share with fans over the next few months. Some of these are set to be tested during Overwatch 2’s third beta, which game director Aaron Keller confirmed in an interview with Twitch user Potxeca a month ago.
In October 2019, Game Informer editor Andrew Reiner was reported to have seen four unannounced characters while visiting Blizzard headquarters. One of them could be Mauga, and the other was introduced for the recent Junker Queen beta tests. The third, Reiner described as a girl with a square and a knee-high creature resembling a desert fennec beside her.
This is in line with Blizzard’s announcement that mentions an unannounced heroine who will be joining the roster of support characters. What’s more, a Twitter user named Hazelet solved a mysterious code that was shown to players after the end of the last beta test. According to him, next time fans will be able to appreciate this heroine and a new card called Kenezaka.
