Apex Legends System Override Details
APEX Legends System Override has been announced by Respawn Entertainment for March, with the new event including a surprise Heirloom set for Octane.
Fans of Apex Legends should look forward to a brand new campaign kicking off during early March 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and Windows. Respawn today announced plans for the System Override case, which is scheduled to release next week. The new collection event for a limited time begins on March 3rd and will be available in game until March 17.
No set release time has been confirmed but fans can expect to see the new Season 4 event live by 8 pm, GMT.
Device Override includes the Evo Shield equipment and new Deja Loot mode, which bends the laws of loot respawn in new ways.
Deja Mode will feature loot spawning every match at the same position on the map, and should trigger some interesting clashes.
The first week of the limited-time Deja Loot mode will be kept on World’s Edge, with the second week seeing Legends return to Kings Canyon.
The limited-time event will also be the first time players will pick up the arena’s latest Evo Shield and unlock a range of Assimilation Themed cosmetics and a new Octane Heirloom Pack.
The Octane Heirloom set certainly looks like a successful addition, with lots of gamers looking for it online, The Octane Heirloom set has become one of Apex Legends ‘ top trending topics, meaning there will be a lot of interest in how to win it.
This will be connected to the Assimilation Themed Apex Packs of the game, which will include a collection of 24 thematic, time-limited cosmetics, as well as 6 corresponding legendary hero + weapon skins and 12 other epics.
Such new in-game accessories can be purchased by players directly buying Apex Coins, direct unlocking with Crafting Metals or random unlocking with Event Apex Packs.
And players who unlock all 24 cosmetics from Device Override will receive the Octane Heirloom package, too.
A message from Respawn explains: “If you unlock all 24 items of the Device Override Selection Pack during the case, the Octane Heirloom package will be unlocked free.
“If you don’t manage to unlock this new Heirloom set during the event, it will be available via Apex Packs after the event ends.
“We are improving the Heirloom program so you can easily obtain the heirloom you want.
“You will now receive Heirloom fragments, instead of a whole Heirloom package falling at once. Then you can use those shards to pick the exact Heirloom package that you want.
“The shards will have the same drop rate as the previous system, so that after 500 Apex Packs, you will have enough Heirloom Shards to obtain an Heirloom set from the Heirloom shop.
“And don’t worry, the move will carry over your current progress towards the 500 Apex Packages.
“Note that once all of the Heirloom sets are owned by a player, the player will not be eligible to receive more shards until more Heirloom sets are added to the game.”
