Announcement of Resident Evil 8 Coming June 10?
Capcom may be making some new announcements in the next month for the Resident Evil franchise. Franchise ambassadors are receiving news notifications coming June 10th. It is hard not to expect this announcement to be centered on Resident Evil 8.
The news comes from Twitter user@kula 9S85, who uploaded to Biohazard Ambassadors a image of what appears to be an email from Capcom. The picture contains the date of registration of the user and also a text string. The text reads: “A Resident Evil Announcement will take place on 10th June 2020.” Even without confirmation, the invitation could easily be about an announcement from Resident Evil 8.
Capcom has brought the franchise back better than ever, with remakes that would make every studio envy. It comes as no surprise to us that the developers put so much work into getting remakes so close to each other to fans. However, setting the stage for something bigger, perhaps a new title, makes sense for those games. Hence the hopes of a Resident Evil 8 declaration.
As of now, it’s not even sure that Resident Evil 8 is in development. There are countless hints, rumors, and leaks pointing to it being a reality. We might be finally close to an announcement. A recent leak wanted Capcom to be releasing a new “ReSi” title, it not being the 8th addition to the franchise though. A few months back, the developer team held a program in which Resident Evil Ambassador Program members were called. They were invited to test an undisclosed game.
It’s only two weeks before we know what this announcement is and whether or not it is related to Resident Evil 8. If this is the case, then rumors wanting the game’s name being Village could also be true. For what it’s worth, we love some more Resident Evil, whatever it might be.
