A Russian IT company has begun recruiting employees for a virtual office to work in the metaverse

The Russian company Napoleon IT announced that it opened its own office in Minecraft and announced the hiring of employees for it. The company calls this format of work the metaverse.

Napoleon IT co-founder Ruslan Akhtyamov told the TASS news agency that the company is looking for virtual world designers, event managers, office managers, guard moderators, loot managers and other specialists for a kind of meta-office. The head of the company also stressed that other organizations have not yet decided on such an experiment.

The company’s blog notes that employees will be able to transfer some of the tasks to the virtual world in Minecraft. In addition, the new format of work is designed to replace the usual video conferencing. Representatives of Napoleon IT also noted that they implemented the project at the request of the employees themselves.

Candidates must have knowledge of Minecraft and its features. For example, for a meta-office tester, at least a year of experience in the game is required, and you will also need the ability to start tasks in Jira. The company promises to train employees and help them develop in the field.
